- Room Maintenance Technician/General Technician
The Room Maintenance Technician/General Technician position is a full-time role within the Engineering & Facilities department. The main responsibilities include attending to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance on equipment and tools, visual inspection of machines and equipment, carrying equipment, operating shut-off valves, communicating daily activities, performing surface preparation and repairs, troubleshooting equipment, and performing landscaping repairs.
The candidate should have basic knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and computer skills. They should also be able to use the Lockout/Tagout system, perform basic housekeeping duties, and have knowledge of energy conservation.
The Room Maintenance Technician/General Technician at Aloft Me’aisam Dubai is also required to follow all company and safety policies and procedures, report any maintenance problems or safety hazards, complete safety training, and properly store flammable materials.
They should maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect proprietary information and company assets, and welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards. The technician should develop positive relationships with colleagues, use clear and professional language, and be able to move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
