Position Summary:

The position of Waiter/Waitress at The Lounge within The Westin Abu Dhabi 5-Star Hotel Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa involves serving food and drinks to guests, setting tables, and answering questions about menu selections. The server will communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, and special requests from guests, and will use the MICROS system to record transactions. They will also check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and drinks, maintain a clean work area, and complete closing duties. Additionally, the server will present the bill to the guests and process payment.

Compliance and Safety Standards

The position of Waiter/Waitress requires the individual to follow all company and safety policies and procedures, report any accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications. They should maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Guest Service Expectations

Physical Requirements

The position requires standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time, moving, lifting and carrying objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. It also requires the ability to grasp, turn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Working Conditions

Also, the server will move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. They should also be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Additionally, they will be expected to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
